Race Rules ZAMIEĆ 2019 24h to Skrzyczne, update 18.01.2019

 

1.   THE MISSION

4.  COURSE

 

* ZAWIERUCHA:

– mountain race of 27k / 1250m+ around Szczyrk

Time limit 8h, Salmopol pass 4h

 

* ZADYMA:   Is an Anglo-Saxon mountain race of 13,5k /800m+

Time limit 4h

 

* ZAMIEĆ 24H :

24h ultramarathon on the slopes of Skrzyczne Mountain    

Participants are expected to run a 13.5 k loop from race center to the top of Skrzyczne Mountain (checkpoint) and back (the way back different route) anticlockwise. Running clockwise direction means disqualification.

ZAMIEC can be done individually or in teams of two (MM, KK, MIX).

In order to win one needs to cover the biggest number of loops in the shortest time possible.

In order to be classified each participant (teams included) has to cover at least one loop.

The course map and profile is available on the website.

 

5.   CONDITIONS OF ENROLLMENT

  • Participants must be 18 years old on the day of the race.
  • By enrolling competitors certify that they participate in the race at their own responsibility and that there are no medical contraindications for taking part in a mountain ultra race.
  • All competitors must be verified in Race Centre on the basis of their ID (passport, driver's license). Obligatory equipment will also be verified.
  • Any outside assistance on the course is strictly forbidden.
  • All competitors must be aware that the race is extremely difficult, requires good physical preparation and may involve extreme weather conditions (sleet, snow, rain, storm, black ice, ice, frost, low temperatures, snowdrifts)
  • Race physician has the authority to stop the participant from continuing the race on the basis of his assessment and this is a final and irrevocable decision.
  • All participants are required to assist fellow runners on the course in case of an accident or any dangerous or life-threatening situation
  • Competitors are not allowed to take part under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other substances. Any indication such conduct will lead to immediate disqualification. The organizer will not be held liable for any damage to health which happened while
  • Being late for the race means disqualification

6.   REGISTRATION

  • Registration is only electronic through a form available on the website from 1st Nov 2018
  • Registration ends on 13th January 2019 or in case runner limit is met 
  • No entry nor payment will be accepted following this date.
  • Upon registration, competitors are required to pay the starting fee immediately. Date of payment is a decisive factor.
  • Registration without payment does not secure a place on the starting list.
  • Starting list with payment info will be updated regularly on the enrollment form on the website.
  • The number of participants is limited to 300 ZAMIEĆ, 300 ZADYMA, 300 ZADYCHA

    Organizers reserve the right to alter the limits.

7.   STARTING FEE - update 18th Jan 2019

 

ZADYMA:

From 14th Jan 2019 registration and payment is possible only on the day of the competition, without the t-shirt and gadget in the starting kit

STARTING FEE - 90 PLN

 

ZAWIERUCHA:

From 14th Jan 2019 registration and payment is possible only on the day of the competition, without the t-shirt and gadget in the starting kit

STARTING FEE - 130 PLN

 

ZAMIEĆ 24h:

From 14th Jan 2019 registration and payment is possible only on the day of the competition, without the t-shirt and gadget in the starting kit

STARTING FEE - 290 PLN

 

8. STARTING FEE REFUNDS:

 

In case of resignation until 30th Nov 2018 - 50% of starting fee will be refunded. After that date the starting fee is non-refundable.

 

9. OBLIGATORY EQUIPMENT:

 

During the race, all competitors are required to have all obligatory equipment on them at all times. It will be verified before the race as well as on the course. Any shortcomings will result in immediate disqualification.

  • Race number with a chip (worn in front, visible and easy to read at all times)
  • Mobile phone with a battery charged and operable for the duration of the race (roaming service recommended, with Organizers' numbers (given at registration) recommended
  • Survival Blanket
  • headlamp with spare batteries
  • whistle
  • waterproof and windproof jacket (regardless of expected weather conditions)
  • long-running tights or trousers
  • long sleeve
  • trail running shoes appropriate for the surface
  • cap or bandana
  • gloves
  • elastic bandage

Recommended Equipment

  • clothes appropriate for the weather conditions
  • chemical warmers
  • gaiters
  • waterproof gloves
  • anti-chafing ointment (e.g. Vaseline, sudocrem)
  • trekking poles
  • change of clothes

10. PROVISIONS

 

Starting kit includes:

  • Starting bib
  • Race gadget
  • Medical and mountain rescue service
  • clearly marked course (see point 12 COURSE MARKING)
  • warm drinks and nutrition at Race Centre 
  • room to store your stuff
  • recovery meal after the race in Race Center
  • drop bags
  • basic on-course sleeping places
  • finisher's medal
  • cups and prizes for winners

The kit's content depends on sponsors and may turn out richer.

The route will be completely and accurately marked. 

 

11. CLASSIFICATION

 

All courses will be classified for male and females OPEN, MM, KK, MIX
In order to be classified each participant (teams included) has to cover at least one loop. 
Additionally, there will be random on-course control points where the participant will be obliged to present their race numbers. Any item of obligatory equipment missing will be mean a 30 min time penalty.

Winners are awarded trophies and awards (depending on sponsors). In case of winner's absence during decoration, please be informed that sending awards/trophies is not possible.

 

12. SAFETY

 

All participants are required to:

  • follow Fair Play
  • not to interfere with course markers
  • no alcohol or substances during the duration of the race

Failure to obey will result in immediate disqualification.

In case of injury/accident/health issues call the emergency number given at pre-race briefing, give your estimated location and await the arrival of the rescue team.

In case of resignation during the race competitors are required to inform organizers about it immediately. Otherwise, they may be charged with the cost of possible search and rescue mission.

 

13. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

 

All participants are required to:

  • take special care of Beskidy nature
  • not to leave the marked course
  • not to litter; all packaging (gels, bars, etc) need to be disposed of in the appropriate places on aid stations
  • not to destroy nature

Failure to obey will result in immediate disqualification.

 

14. FINAL NOTES

 

Failure to obey Race Rules will result in immediate disqualification.
Organizers reserve the right to deny entry to any participant.

In case of disqualification, participants have no right to receive starting fee reimbursement.

Participants have the right to voice objection on paying a deposit of 200 PLN but not later than 2 hours of race completion. Objections will be reviewed by the Race Rules Commission chosen by the Organizer.

Every participant of the race hereby certifies that he/she understands the potential threat and danger for their health and life connected to participation in a mountain ultra race. At the same time, the participant assumes all responsibility for any damage to health and life resulting during the race and not caused by the negligence of the Organizer.

Participant agrees to have their image used for Race's promotional purposes and to have their personal data processed for organizational purposes.
Organizer reserves the right to change Race Rules.
Information regarding such changes will be available on the website and announced separately.

Organizer reserves the right to have final say in matters regarding the Rules.
